Christ, am I the only one getting pop-ups from the den?

This really takes the cake.

The one person that decided to place in the browser the capacity of opening other windows in a java script, and the person that had the idea of using this option for add´s i hope will burn in the 9° circle in hell! they diserve the premium treatment!!!

If you don´t like pop ups (and who does) there are some nice freeware programs you can download to stop them. The best (at least for me.... i supose we are open to hear other opinions) is Pop-up stopper.

There are other ones, but they mess way to much for me with your settings. This is, i think the cleaner one.

I was going to start same thread, but I'm trying to be a nicer person this week.

I hate the popups, and I don't care who is #1 DSS site. The number one site to me is the one I go to. All the others are number 2. :)


I voted, thinking it would end this hell. It doesn't. Look at the standings and you will realize it is bullsh*t. The sites with the most traffic should be number one, not the ones with the most bored audience looking for self agrandisement.

Geez! one little popup and some peeps think there in WAREZ HELL LOL No I don't like pop ups either, but they are part of the WWW. But I get a kick outa reading in here, and will put up with a pop up once in awhile. Merry Christmas To All!!!

nooooo! I can't block pop ups, that stops too many of the pop-ups that I do want, I surf way more than average, and many of the sites I use, use pop-ups for navigation and stuff. It is way too inconveinent to enable popups every time you realize you want them. I just hate the unsolicited ones thats all, but you are right, it is a part of the web. I just didn't think we would resort to it here, just for some stupid rating.

my 2.4 cents, no huge deal, but when I am aggravated, I bitch, ask anyone! LOL.

I use popup killer 1.43 I like it because you can customize it to block certain popups and let others pass.

Yeap, most of the softwares let´s you customize which popups you want killed, so if there are some you want to keep alive, you can.

I use Pop-up Stopper from Panicware.com, it's free & customizable. It can deftly negotiate even the most offensive warez sites. As for using pop-ups to navigate with, BEWARE OF EVIL COOKIES! Better get AdAware, it does for cookies what Norton Anti-virus does for viruses, available @ Downloads.com. I hate being tracked and target marketed due to my surfing habits. You can go with a proxy service if your real parinoid.

Yap!, i don´t care about what that list says.

The number one site it´s the one covered by a big black flag with a skull and two bones crossed and this is not a**kissing (well... it is, but it´s a**kissing with the truth).

Any way, thanks rise. And at the end, what you want to do with your site (our site, if you let us) is ok with me. You are the one who made it the great place it is now.
