DirecTV 5 LNB Slimline Dish Settings for Toronto

I can't believe this happened, but it did, lol.

I was in the Directv guide last night and I went to hit record on a show called "The United States Of Tara". Instead of the usual "R" showing up in the guide, to show it's going to be recorded, the DVR told me that this show was available on demand and asked me if I wanted to watch it.

I clicked on "watch now" and boom, there it was. It's still in my play list, by the way and still plays. Also, there was no charge for watching it.

Why it happened, I have no idea, but it did.

Hi, moving to Burlington and would like to take my Slimline, SWM and HD DVR with me. I'll be spending only the summers there and previoulsy have told DirecTV to switch the locals from my Florida address to my Detroit area address when I arrive. I am hoping the spot beam will be wide enough to cover Burlington and my question is this: Can anyone PM me with the name of an excellent installer in Burlington? In advance, thanks.

I recently bought a Slimline 5 , multi switch type. I selected slimline 5 , 72.5 degree and 95 degree from the drop down menu and follow the instruction sheet included in the box. I cannot get the dish to work after several attempts.

I have some knowledge of how to set up a standard dish but not the HD slimline. Currently I am using an old dish from my camping trailer and is working fine for direct TV 101/std direct TV receiver


I am looking for an installer in Hamilton or Burlington area. Please email me.
